Checking the Page Size of Your Scientific Poster

Important

Your PowerPoint page size MUST be proportionate to the final poster size. If you send us a "square" file, we won't stretch your poster to a "wide" page.

If you're ordering a poster with a dimension larger than 56 inches, you'll have to use a smaller page setup. PowerPoint has a maximum page width of 56 inches. See the tutorial for step by step instructions and a table of typical pages sizes that work.

Special Sizes

If you need a size other than our set sizes, order your poster online, & choose the next size larger to what you need. Also specify in the special instructions box what size the final poster should be. If your file doesn't fit any specific size, we will scale it proportionately to the nearest fixed size.

Portrait or Landscape

We will print your poster "Portrait" or "Landscape" according to how your file was created. If you order 36" by 60" and your PowerPoint file is "wide", we will make your poster "wide" (landscape). If your PowerPoint page is "tall", we'll print your poster "tall" (portrait).

Using Existing PowerPoint Files

If you have already designed your poster in PowerPoint you have two options:

  1. Have us print the largest possible poster from your existing file without modification. This is usually easier than trying to change your page size. You can use our page size calculator to determine sizes that can be printed from your file as-is.

  2. If you must change the proportion of your PowerPoint page so it can be printed to a specific required poster size, use our page size conversion helper.
